A paddling cache on Milldam Creek.
The third in a series of caches along Milldam Creek east of Blackwater Road. It is about a 4.5 mile round trip to find the 4 caches east of Blackwater Road. This section of the creek is wide and can have strong currents and winds. Please review the satellite view on the map to get a good understanding of this area. There are many branches when making the loop.
The water level was at 6 inches on the meter west of the road and the cache can be easily retrieved without leaving your boat. Parking is available along the side of Blackwater Road near the bridge. Launching can be pretty tricky so be careful. If the water level is above the 1 foot mark you most likely will not be able to paddle under the bridge.
