Geocache Description:

This is an ammo box cache with lots of goodies inside for the FCTF (First Couple to Find)!

Please note the following:
This is a .4 mile hike (one way) up steep hills. Change in elevation is 200 feet from parking lot to cache site.
With 3 year old it took us about 30 min each way.
Park closes at 8 PM. Not suggested for evening, rainy or snowy day finds. It can also get quite muddy so beware.
Though you may be tempted to take "shortcuts" , stay on the beautiful trail until you see Peppercorn Hill Overlook (see the trail map - URL below). Once on the Overlook get your bushwackers ready!
Bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful view and walk!

Peppercorn Hill Conservation Area

The Peppercorn Conservation Area is located on the east side of town near North Pond. The 283 acres area is largely forested with oaks, maple and pine. It features cold water streams, wetlands, vernal pools, scenic vistas, and stone walls. The western slope of Peppercorn Hill is a remarkable jumble of boulders deposited by glaciers more than 10 thousand years ago. A National Grid powerline easement passes through the property and shrub habitat maintained by the easement provides excellent songbird and butterfly habitat. Trails can be accessed from Crocket Road and from Taft Street via the Snow Family Conservation Area.
