PLEASE RE-HIDE CAREFULLY! This cache is located near a man made pond built to collect rainwater runoff. It was turned into a park with a goal of being a "place of sanctuary." Feel free to take a stroll around the pond with your dog and watch the ducks. You can even walk through the middle of the pond on a raised berm. The water is calm and you can let your dog swim as you relax. You can even catch and release trout with barb-less hooks. It's a very beautiful location; a hidden sanctuary.
Parking is available at the YMCA and along Mccormick Creek Drive.
RE-HIDE WELL! Make sure passerby can't spot it. The cache is a large ammo can.
Every time I've been in the area to check on this cache, it's been left out in the open completely uncovered. Please, when you find this cache, re-hide it. Preferably a little better than you found it. Cover it up with sticks, bark, leaves, whatever, and tuck it away out of sight. Make sure the lid is closed and secure. (It's always been left open.) Make sure the cache is latched shut. We're in a rainy climate, folks! Again, PLEASE be considerate when re-hiding. This is a high traffic area and I've run out of replacements. Thank you!
