Geocache Description:

This cache is placed near the Historic Sites marker to remember the
historical importance of Thistle Ha'.

In 1848 John Miller, a Scotish immigrant purchased the farm and in 1852 started to import stock, including shorthorn cattle, Clydesdale horses and later Shropshire sheep from the UK.

His importance as a pioneer importer and breeder of pedigree stock improved the quality of livestock in both North and South America during the 19th century.

The cache is a small bison tube covered with black electical tape at one end. No need to feel around as you should be able to spot it quickly. As this was originally a nano container, I have kept the log book that size and there is a small magnet inside the container. Please replace cache as found to reduce the risk of accidential discovery by non-cachers checking out the Historical Plaque.

Congratulations to SearchinSwifts for FTF honours
