This is a park and grab. There is a pull off by the historic marker. But, Hwy 231 is a busy Hwy so please be careful! As soon as you see the marker you should pull off there! This is now a ammo can great for TB's heading north or south!
The Blockhouse marker will explain its history. The ruins of the Blockhouse are on private property and can't be gotten to at this time. Maybe in the future we will be able to check out the ruins. But, for now you can read about the Blockhouse on this marker. Once the historic marker is in view, you will see where you can pull off. Park there and then go to the cache which you will find following your gps or go... 33 paces to the north of the marker. But, the cache is at the coordinates above. The marker is just a good place to stop and park and read about the blockhouse.
You are looking for a ammo can. We had to anchor it down because for some reason the ammo cans just get muggled around here! So we are sorry if anchoring it makes it a little more difficult for some... But, it is the only way to hopefully keep it in place. If it proves to be to difficult because of being anchored we will just put the coffee jar back eventually.
