There are many potential great locations to watch the sun set in this part of the world but this is easy to access and as good as any – provided that is you pick a relatively windless and cloud-free day! This cache can conveniently be combined with Gifkom View (GC172X7) which is approx 450m to the NorthWest and as part of a 2-3 hour circular walk along the top of the escarpment and back along the beach (or vice versa!)
To reach the cache site:
Park at S 34 19.039 E 18 25.211 and take the path going straight ahead (west) as far as S 34 19.093 E 18 25.164 where the path starts to descend left (south) towards the beach below.
Turn off to the right (west) here and cross a few metres over the flat rocks to a very fine view point at S 34 19.095 E 18 25.158 with convenient flat area to sit, place your drinks, admire the sunset, etc.
The cache, a small recycled plastic tablet pot containing only a log book and pencil, is hidden in a crevice approximately 5m south of this view point at an approximate elevation of 91m.
