Geocache Description:


I am so excited to bring cachers to this little park.

Letha House Park is located in scenic Chatham Township. The Letha House Foundation was instrumental in providing funding for the acquisition of the land to create this park. The site is crossed by Little Sweetly Creek, which is a tributary of the Black River.

A picnic shelter is available for reservation at this facility. The wooded nature trail winds though a mature forest and features a large stand of Paw-Paw trees.

An observatory located on this site is operated by the Cuyahoga Astronomical Association. The dark skies of Letha House Park provide excellent conditions for viewing the heavens in all seasons. This is the easiest cache of the 3 placed here. I wanted cachers to take a little walk around the loop into the woods. You will find this cache in the middle of this little hike, which will only be about .75 miles for the entire loop.

These caches are dedicated to our furry friends that often accompany us on our hikes. This one is filled with dog toys, collars, etc. Please if you trade, (dog items not required) do NOT leave any food or rawhide items in the cache.
