Caching The Falls At Clifty State Park II

Time to do the Falls again....

Event starts officially at 10am

Just like last year, caches will be placed around Clifty Falls State Park at falls overlooks and interesting sites. There will also be another bonus cache for our hearty hikers! You will need to collect a unique stamp from each location to be qualified for the prize drawing.

Prize Drawing at 5pm

For all cachers with the collected stamps, a prize drawing will start at 5pm. This should give everyone enough time to visit all the cache sites even if they hike to each one. If planning to hike, estimate at least 4-5 hours to complete all the caches.

Facilities Available

This year, the event will start at the Nature Center. (Event Coords)

 We will have a charcoal grill at the ready if you would like to grill something for lunch. So bring a picnic lunch with you. Bring your own utensils.

A water spout is on site and we will provide ice water available in jugs...bring a cup and keep cool...it is July in Indiana!

For the family member that doesn't want to Geocache, they can go swimming at our pool, visit The Clifty Inn, and the Interpretive Center.

**Be sure to wear proper footwear for the trails!! (Closed toe shoes or boots are best.)

Getting in the park

The usual State Park admission is required ($2.00 bicycle, $4.00 in-state weekday, $5.00 weekend, or $7.00 out of state vehicles). Whether you visit our great State Parks and Reservoirs for a day or an entire weekend, we hope you get out and see all that Indiana has to offer. Good Luck!!!

Ranger Davis, Schwerin and I got this years sites set up and yesterday (July 3) we put out the bonus cache. What a hike!!

CTFAC 2 'Island' Rock.......GC1VGFY 4.5/5 will be published the night before the event. The cache is already out and is a beautiful, hard hike to get to. Plan 2 hours for the round trip to this one.
It has two 'FTF' prizes
- an Indiana DNR coin
-new 'Rubicon' Wooly pathatag
