A short walk past some historic buildings on the lake edge.
An easy walk from the car park past some old historical buildings. Park your car at S45 02.948 E169 12.312. Then take a pleasant stroll toward the co-ords. The cache is a 200ml sistema container. In a high muggle area Old Cromwell is still being relocated to this site after the flooding of Lake Dunstan in 1993. If you sit at the picnic table looking east the relocated buildings used to be located beneath the pipeline 10m below water level and runs east to west. Look east towards the East Cardinal Marker that you should be able to see floating in the lake. That is where these old buildings were relocated from. As you will see some are still being reconstructed. Due to the high muggle area the hint is quite specific. Take some time to wander around "Old Cromwell" and you will be rewarded with some interesting displays which are free and open during daytime hours. A small donation is appreciated. Of note is the, black smith shop, the bakery behind the shops and stables. The bakehouse where the contents of the bakehouse came from can be viewed at our "Bendigo Bucket Dredge Ladder" cache site just 17 km away. The cafe is also worth a visit. Replace as found and keep an eye out for The Cat.
