Geocache Description:

An offset multi cache which starts in the Buttlands area of Wells-Next-The-Sea where all the clues can be found. It finishes a 5-10 minute walk away. But there are plenty of shops/pubs/cafes/chippies etc en route so it may take longer!!

This cache was placed in celebration of Rich's Mum and Dad's Ruby Wedding Anniversary. The co-ords will take you to the Buttlands a lovely area of the town with a green in the middle. Here you will find a small car park plus on-street parking all around the green. It is also where you will find the answers to all the questions. We hope you enjoy our second celebration cache in Wells and after finding it you might wish to continue on to the other one (Lucy & Tim's Wedding-Next-The-Sea). Now to the questions:

You will find the cache at N52 57.ABC E000 51.DEF

A - The number of windows at the front of 'The Haven'

B - Find a bench dedicated to Edwin John Astley Plumbe. B6th August 1996.

C - The number of trees on the green divided by 10

D - There are 2 pubs/hotels looking out onto the green. Take the number of letters in the name of one from the number of letters in the name of the other. (Ignore any hanging signs - just use names directly fixed to the wall!)

E - The number of Dormer windows in 'Casa Maria'
(please note we stayed in The Homestead not far from this cottage)

F - Find a bench dedicated to Ethel Louise Salmond. She was born in 19F6

There are various route to the final location all on footpaths so buggies and wheelchairs are all OK for this cache. GOOD LUCK! and PLEASE use stealth at the final location! You may also need patience...

UPDATE October 2009 The cache was muggled recently and so we have replaced it. Having looked for a new hiding place and failing we decided to place the new cache in the same location. Obiviously the site had been compromised BUT we managed to find a more difficult hiding place only an inch or so from the more obvious original. Good luck.

UPDATE September 2010. The cache was muggled again. Weston Wanderer has very kindly replaced the cache in a NEW hiding place very close to the original. Good Luck.

and a BIG THANK YOU to Weston Wanderer.
