Geocache Description:

A Standalone Cache placed in Mortimers Forest outside of Ludlow Shropshire.

The cache is located in Mortimers Forest for you to enjoy a Walk over looking the views of Mary Knoll Valley

suggested car park at. N 52°21.809' W 002°44.665
Approximately 1 mile off the B4361 just outside Ludlow. Follow the brown signs for the Forestry Commission

Mortimer Forest is a remnant of the ancient Saxon hunting forests of Mocktree, Deerfold and Bringewood. The proximity of Ludlow has strongly influenced this Forest. It was these woods that provided the huge quantity of firewood needed to warm the inhabitants of Ludlow Castle.
