Should be a quick and easy cache. A shortish walk from Winnipeg airport, and the nearby hotels. If your layover is only an hour, you may not want to try it as you'll have to go back through security. Check the distance on your GPSr and use your judgement, as it is just on the edge of airport property. CACHE OWNER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISSED FLIGHTS!!!
No puzzles, no tricks, just a straight-forward TB hotel for those coming back from a trip, heading out on one, or anyone hoping to send a TB off on an adventure.
You are looking for a standard cammo Lock n Lock container magnetically hidden out of sight. Where would you hide it? That's where it is! There is enough cover that you shouldn't draw too much attention grabbing this one. If you are driving, please park in the nearby hotel parking lot and walk over. It is a very busy road and this will help to not draw attention to the site.
This is my first urban cache placement. It is located far enough from the airport so as not to be a security issue, but still in easy walking distance if you have an hour or two layover. I was surprised that there wasn't already a cache in the area.
Winter friendliness is going to depend on lots of variables. I'll be keeping a close eye on it come next winter and will post notes re: this.
Original cache contains a logbook, pencil, 1 TB and 1 geocoin to get things going.
FTF gets a FTF pin and a $5 Tim's card. And the smug satisfaction of a FTF, of course!
One last thing, please don't steal coins from this cache. I'd rather not have my cache listed as the last known place for a pile of coins. If you are a "collector" (in my opinion, that's cachespeak for thief) please leave these coins alone unless you plan on moving them on. Thank you!
