Geocache Description:

This is another micro a key holder - . contains :log that is it . co-ords were changed to right on top of the cache after the problems ,it is the area that is wonky thats all. . wheel chair access YES during dry weather

This is another Metis kinew cache . The site was named after Nicholas Garry a deputy governor of the Hudson's Bay Company .Established in 1821 -1822 unfortunately in 1826 a flood destroyed the fort,which was rebuilt in 1835. For now the only thing left is the main gate. It was the last of 5 forts that had been built in the general area since 1736,1806,1815,and finnally the original Fort Garry circa 1821.This is just the tip of the info pool,punch in Upper Fort Garry and see what you get .
