D’nationaalt Streikmonument, offiziell Monument national de la grève, ass e Monument zu Wolz zur Erënnerung un d’Affer vum nationale Streik vum 31. August an 1. September 1942. Et gouf den 30. September 1956 ageweit.

Mam Streik hunn deemols d’Lëtzebuerger géint d’Zwangsrekrutéierung an déi däitsch Wehrmacht protestéiert.

D'Monument gouf zu Wolz opgeriicht, well de Streik do den 31. August 1942 am Muerge mat engem Protestmarsch ugefaangen hat. Den Dag duerno, den 1. September 1942, huet sech de Streik iwwert ganz Lëtzebuerg ausgebreet.

Heures de visite: 08.00-18.00

Normally the gate should be open everyday from 08.00-18.00 but I don't know how they manage this: sometimes it's open in the night and closed during the day?!?. But it's possible to climb over the +-1m height gate at your own risk!
