Lost Place - Flüssiggas Traditional Cache

Traditional in der Nähe eines verlassenen Gaslagers
Hier befand sich bis vor einigen Jahren ein Flüssiggaslager der
Kapigas. Die Anlieferung erfolgte mit Tankwaggons über den
Gleisanschluss der direkt an das Bahnnetz der ÖBB nahe des Bahnhofs
Wulkaprodersdorf angeschlossen ist. Das Flüssiggaslager selbst
befand sich im südlichen Bereich des Areals und bestand aus
mehreren in der Erde vergrabenen Tanks und der dazugehörigen
Abfüllanlage für die Betankung von LKW´s. Heute sind nur mehr die
Gleise, die Beleuchtung und Stromverteilerkästen übrig. Die
unterirdischen Tanks und die Betankungsanlage wurden ausgebaut und
verschrottet. Auf älteren Luftbildern kann man noch die Position
der Betankungsgebäude und der Tanks erkennen.
Falls du mit dem Cachemobil anreist kannst du es bequem an der
Einfahrt zum Gaslager parken. Der Cache befindet sich außerhalb des
eingezäunten Bereichs und kann leicht über einen Weg am Rande des
Flüssiggaslagers erreicht werden, ein Betreten des Areals oder die
Querung von Bahngleisen ist somit nicht nötig. Die am Eingangstor
befestigten Warnschilder sollten beachtet werden.

This place was until a few years a LPG storage from Kapigas. The
delivery arrived with tank wagons over the directly to the
railnetwork of the ÖBB connected track near the train station
Wulkaprodersdorf. The LPG storage itself was located in the
southern area of the site and consisted of some in the ground
buried tanks and the associated filling system for the refueling of
trucks. Today, only the railtrack, the lighting and power
distribution boxes are left. The underground tanks and the fueling
facility were dismantled and scrapped. On older aerial images the
position of the refueling buildings and tanks can be
recognized.
You can park your car at the entrance. The cache is located outside
the fenced area and can be easily reached over a path on the edge
of the LPG site, entering the area or the Crossing of railway
tracks is therefore not necessary. The mounted signs at the
entrance gate should not be ignored.
