How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Very simple P&G. BYOP

Grass needs water so that it can process nutrients. It takes water for the plant to produce carbon dioxide
and nutrients (however less than 1% of the water taken in by grass is used for this purpose). the rest of the water is incorporated in to the plants cells and expired.

Expired water helps to cool the grass. During the cooler parts of the day and evening, expired water condenses and is recycled to feed the plant.

Grass really does not need soil. However: (a) soil provides a place for seed to be trapped and germinate; )b) soil provides an anchor; (c) Soil can provide nutrients.
