Geocache Description:

Small Lock & Lock. Room for small travel bugs and geocoins.

This cache has been placed at the site where Gentex Corporation, Zeeland’s largest employer, began in 1974. The company is well known today as a maker of automatic-dimming mirrors and other automotive products, but it got its start making fire protection equipment at this plant. Though only accounting for 4% of total company sales today, smoke detectors and alarms are still made at this facility. The main campus a couple miles away dwarfs this site now, but this facility still has a special place within the overall company. It represents the humble beginnings of a modern day entrepreneur.

Cache is placed with permission of facility management. Keep an eye out for muggles. You can park within 10 feet of the cache.
