This bimble along the canal starts at Goldstone Wharf. A
beautiful spot especially on a sunny evening.
Parking for 4 or 5 cars at the waypoint below (please don't
block the gate) or at the Wharf Tavern over the bridge (please use
the pub if you use the car park – good food and ale).
A glance at the OS map will give you plenty of options for
extending the walk should you feel like you need to further justify
your stop at the pub.
At the first bridge you can leave the towpath and follow a
diverted public footpath. It used to lead up to Westcott Mill but
has now been re-routed through the field next to the canal. The
cache can be accessed from either route.
Keep an eye out for muggles. You might want to
take some bread along for the ducks :D
