A cache in a quiet corner of the grounds of Cinderbarrow picnic site, Home of the Lancaster and Morecambe Model Engineering Society.
You need to be warned that the parking area itself is height restricted so no campers or tall vehicles can access. However there is some roadside parking available very close to the cache for any vehicle..
Lancaster and Morecambe Model Engineering Society started their 2009 timetable on Good Friday, the day after this cache was hidden.
Steamtown in Carnforth finally closed its doors to the public in 1997 and the Lancaster and Morecambe miniature railway engineers moved to this reclaimed site in the countryside. Each year, trains are run by these enthusiasts each Sunday and Bank Holiday, (weather permitting) from Easter till Late September and rides behind a variety of engines, live steam or diesel, are often on offer. The track is designed so a variety of different gauges can be run.

and it was a great favourite with our demons when they were younger for a Sunday picnic.
The unbridled enthusiasm of these masters of miniature modelling is worth seeing in its own right.

The new cache is a Turtle Tub box with a log book & a few SD Keyring swaps with some room for more or small sized TBs and coins. It is repositioned to avoid the impenetrable nettles which were of industrial potency. In fact the original cache is possibly still in position but I'm not going to try for it till things have died down a little!
This time it sports a camo bag but hide it well as really its just too easy!
