Geocache Description:

The mountain held the town as in a shadow
I saw so much before I slept there once:
I noticed that I missed stars in the west,
Where its black body cut into the sky.
Near me it seemed: I felt it like a wall

behind which i was sheltered from a wind.
And yet between the town and it i found,
When i walked forth at Dawn to see new Things,
were fields, a river, and beyond, more fields.
The river at the time was fallen away,
And made a widespread Brawl on cobble-stones;
But the signs showed what it had done in spring;
Good Grass-land Gullied Out, And In The Grass
Ridges of Sand, and Driftwood Stripped of Bark.
I Crossed The River And Swung Round The Mountain.
(Robert Frost)

Nice climb in the heart of the Garden county with about 2.5K and 450m ascent.
Above coordinates are just for the car parking area. You need to find out the start coordinates to proceed. To get to the cache there are capital views, in clear weather, down the greater part, of the Vale of Glendasan, over to Brockagh Mountain and also of Tonlegee, so bring the camera!

For those hardy types that like a good hike, you can make a really lovely day of it by parking at the first car park in Glendalough and walking up the length of the beautiful Vale of Glendasan. Walk past the Glendalough round tower and turn right just after it at N53 00.726 W006 19.738. From here you can access "Walk in the Garden 3 and 4" all in one day. It is a smashing walk mostly on a private road and taking up parts of St Kevin's Way on mountain rocky paths. You could leave a vehicle or a bicycle locked up at the parking coords for either of those caches and cycle or drive back down. You will know you had a good walk so if you choose this option bring something for a picnic! Both final caches involve awkward upward climbs.
Altogether these two done as one trek from Glendalough is about 9K and ascent of 760m one way.

Do not start the trek without all the proper mountain rain gear, waterproof boots and the guidance material, compass, map, GPSr with mapping etc. Please note that all parts of this cache are hiked at your own risk. The cache owner takes no responsibility of any sort for any reason including accidents or mishaps.

Please be aware that cars parked in areas close to walking trails are vulnerable and they can be vandalised or stolen. Unfortunately this is an ongoing problem which is extremely difficult to solve. so there is a risk involved. I have heard recently that many hiker groups are parking at the nearest population centres and getting taxis to and from the start points at very little expense.

Please observe the country code to the best of your ability. Local landowners often generously allow access to upland areas across or through parts of their private property. Please, please be conscious of this and return the courtesy by keeping all gates closed, immediately and not on your way back!. Please use the gates where appropriate but if you have to climb over them then use the hinged side ONLY.
Please do not cause any damage of any sort to fences or barriers along the way.
