Geocache Description:

Lake Skinner's south shore is a fisherman's and geocacher's paradise. A welcomed "rest stop" awaits the weary visitor in need.

We love Lake Skinner! Here we’ve enjoyed BBQ picnics, camp outs, fishing, boating, hiking, the hot air balloon/wine festival and now geocaching. Along with LittleTnMe, we placed this cache during our annual “Lake Skinner March Reunion Camp out” which is our celebration to Spring and the coming of Summer. Many of us who enjoy the lake’s facilities never actually get out and “walk it.” Here’s your opportunity to see this park from a little different perspective. From the “fisherman’s parking” ( N 33° 34.820 W 117° 02.100 ) follow the trail for a leisurely stroll of less than a half mile to the cache. You’ll be looking for a camouflaged Tupperware container large enough for travel bugs. Be warned that this cache will not be visited often and TB’s may stay here quite a while. Note: The Lake Skinner State Park requires a Day Use Pass of $5 per vehicle. We hope you enjoy this park as much as we do because, “We love Lake Skinner!” Now let’s “Get to the Point.”
