Geocache Description:

This is Major Jack to Ground Control. I'm stepping through the door. And I'm floating in a most peculiar way. And the stars look very different today. I am sitting in a tin can. Far above the world. Far above the moon. Planet Earth is blue. Tell my wife I love her very much...she knows. Floating round my tin can. And there's nothing I can do.

Major Jack is located on East Ridge Trail in Redwood Regional Park (EBRPD). It's 1+ miles NW of the Pinehurst Gate Staging Area, or 3- miles SE of the Skyline Gate Staging Area. Try the EBMUD trail starting at junction of Pinehurst and Canyon Roads. It's a beautiful but uphill climb to cache. (EBMUD Trail Hiking Permit required, available online at EBMUD website or at various EBMUD locations)

No obvious poison oak, but is probably there. Cache is a few feet off trail.

Visit nearby benchmark discs on same trail at 37 48.282/122 08.428 and 37 48.291/122 08.442. Log those visits at Waymarking.
