Geocache Description:

very high muggle area during the day

The Coby jail was built in 1884 and at 15' X19'2" is billed as Canada's smallest jail.

Coming through the town of Coboconk now you would wonder the need of a jail but the town was a hot spot for the loggers with its seven hotels.

As the logging industry dwindled so did the need for the jail and by 1973 was just being used for town storage. In 1974 the local historical society petitioned to have the building saved and today it is a museum and craft shop.
