A good-sized cache, well hidden at the picturesque Cyathea Falls in the Tarra Valley rainforest.
This cache is located at the beautiful Cyathea Falls, a 1.4km (35 minute) return walk from the nearest car park. The walk is on a meandering well-formed trail, with many bridges crossing the trickling mountain streams. Take your time and enjoy the Mountain Ash and Myrtle Beech canopy along the way, as well as the many tree ferns, lichen and moss. And if you are very quiet and observant, you may see a lyrebird, wallaby, possum or even a platypus.
The cache is well hidden, very close to the falls, in a location that will be a little difficult to reach, particularly in wet weather. Sturdy shoes will be helpful at GZ. The cache is a 3 litre Sistema, camouflaged to match its surroundings, and covered in some leaf-litter. Please ensure that you re-hide it well, as there are many visitors to this location during weekends and holiday periods.
