A traditional cached, placed a short walk through the woods from the car park, this would be suitable for pushchairs apart from the last few metres.
The Outwoods are part of the 'National Forest' and overlook Loughborough, and contains birdlife, a rock climbing crag (where we went climbing on our wedding day - but that is another story), many joggers, and in the spring a wonderful covering of bluebells. The best place to park is the main Outwoods car park at N52 44.360, W001 14.338. There is a small charge for parking. The paths in the woods are typical woodland terrain and can be quite muddy in places after wet weather. From the car park, you may pass the bird feeding area, which is worth waiting at to see the numerous birds that feed there. The cache itself is a plastic container, that contains the usual assortment of goodies, and has been designed to be placed in a child friendly area, a short way off one of the paths. This cache could be joined with others in the area to make a very pleasant days circular walk.
