Located at Ft. Kearney SRA. Fort Kearney SRA offers many amenities including camping, both primitive and not, hiking/biking/geocaching, swimming and access to the Platte River. While not as plush as some the larger parks, it provides a pleasant oasis with it's stately Cottonwood trees.
A Nebraska state park permit is required to hunt for this cache. If you don't have one, daily and annual permits are available at the gate or at the nearby historical park. The cache is located a short walk from parking on uneven ground through grass and a wooded area.You are looking for a medium sized lock-n-lock. Please be respectful of the area and nearby campers. Do not hunt for this cache after dark. This cache is placed with permission of the park superintendent, we would like to stay in good graces.
