This is Featured Cache #3 of the Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Geotrail, which highlights the scenic and historic amenities of the area. Be sure to collect and record the Geotrail Code Word from in (or near, in the case of micros) the cache to your official Geotrail Passport, which can be obtained from the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Windmills are the fastest growing energy producers in this area. This cache take you the middle of a still growing windmill farm. Many years ago this site was a strip mine for coal and now it is taking on a new look. These giants are facinating from a distance, now get a closer view. There is a road to take you near the windmills and Gallitzen State Forest. The cache is not on state forest property. Trust your GPS.
The cache is a .50 cal ammo (updated on 11/9/14) with a log book, pens and other objects.
