Geocache Description:

This small lock n lock (formerly an altoids can that rusted) contains a log and can hold small travel bugs like geocoins. Terrain is a 1.5. The terrain is flat but graveled which could make it a little difficult for wheelchair but it is possible. There is a nice pull out right next to cache. Bring a writing stick just in case.

This cache is the first in the "Storm Cachers Series". The title "Hell or High Water" will make sense when you are in the location. Just around the corner on the main road is the sign pictured that says it all.

On December 4, 2007 you would have needed scuba gear to find this cache. This was considered the storm of the century. The devastation due to flooding that occurred did enormous amounts of damage along Highway 6 and the I-5 corridor (as well as other areas). Then one year later another storm hit, luckily not as hard. Mother nature at her finest or worst depending on your perspective.

This spot always amazes us when we go by. The sheer magnitude of this storm was incredible. We were landlocked at our home. Luckily, we didn't experience damage. But our hearts go out to those that did.

Enjoy the cache.

Congrats to drfunk for the FTF!
