This is the fourth in a series of Freeport Classic Rock caches. On this day of hiding caches, it seemed appropriate to name our caches after some of the classic rock songs that we grew up listening to. Even our 16 year old cacher was familiar with most of these songs...that's what makes them "classic". This cache is in honor of the classic rock song "Fly Like an Eagle". "Fly Like an Eagle" is a song written by Steve Miller on the album Fly Like an Eagle. The song went to number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart during the week of January 8, 1977. The single edit can be found on Greatest Hits 1974-78. We were inspired to give the cache this name as the view from this spot gives you the feeling of wanting to join the birds on their flights over the park. We do not recommend that you give in to this feeling unless God has given you a pair of wings.
