Geocache Description:

This cache is place beside the butterfly trail on Bodmin Beacon. The Beacon has lots of trails on it now and it makes a really nice and easy walk. In parts it is wheelchair freindly as some of the trails have been tarmaced.

There is a monument on Bodmin Beacon dedicated to Sir Walter Raleigh Gilbert B 1785 Bodmin and died 1853 London. He reached the rank of Lt General in the Indian Army and when he died the people of Bodmin erected the monument shaped like Cleopatras Needle and it can be seen for miles around.
