Nevežio intako Kruosto upes vardu pavadintos užtvankos bei hidroelektrines statyba pradeta 1950 m. Tik 1963 m. rudeni darbai buvo baigti ir pirmoji Kedainiu rajone ir Panevežio tinklu sistemoje hidroelektrine pradejo veikti. Dabar per išlikusi užtvakos liepta galima pereiti i kita upes kranto puse, apžiureti išlikusias metalines kontrukcijas.

Kruostas is affluent of river Nevezis. Building of Kruosto hydro power-station started in 1950, production of electicity began only in 1963. It was the first hydro power-station in Kedainiai and Panevezys counties. Kruosto power-station was closed long time ago, and only ruins are left. There still is a metal bridge, you can pass by it to another side of Nevezis river.
