Easter Egg Scramble

The Pocatello Easter Egg Scramble will take place on Sunday
April 26th, 2009.
This is a Double Event consisting of the
Scramble and the Flock

The Easter Egg Scramble Event:

We will meet at the above coordinates (City Hall Zero Scape
Gardens) for sign up and clues to the egg locations. You will need
to register everyone in your group who plans to play, and sign up
under what level you will be playing.

Sign up for play will begin at 9:00 AM. The Lat/Long coordinates
for each of the eggs will be handed out promptly at 10:00 am.

There will be 2 levels of Easter-egg hunt The Over Easy level (for
families with little peeps or pups) and The Hard Boiled level
(considerably more challenging for advanced geocachers). For each
level, a dozen Easter-egg caches and a Easter basket cache will be
hidden for one day only in the Pocatello area extending from
Chubbuck road to the Portneuf Gap. The object of the scramble is to
find all of the dozen eggs hidden, and be the First to Find the
Easter Basket cache.

Each of the twelve colorful plastic eggs are about 3”x 2” inches in
size and will contain three small trinket prizes. When you find an
egg you may take one of the prizes inside (leaving a trade is not
necessary). Once the prizes are gone --- they are gone. Each egg
cache may also contain a coordinate or a clue to obtain your
coordinate for the Easter Basket cache.

The first finder of the Easter Basket cache is the winner! But all
is not lost; the first finder will have instructions to leave for
those who complete the scramble to find an additional cache to
trade trinkets. This cache log will be what we draw from at the
Flock Together Event later that day for the Second Prize winner and
there will only be one winner for the second prize, you must be
present at the Flock Together Event to win. This cache will be a
permanent cache (Really Good Egg) and will be online and available
logged the day after the event. All finders (each team member)
should login to the Really Good Egg cache logbook for a chance to
win. Winners of the big baskets of each level will not
qualify.

There will be a limited number of commemorative tokens available
to mark the event. They will be given to the teams who have
successfully found all of the eggs (at either level).

• This is a one-day only event.

• The egg caches will be removed at the end of the day on
Sunday.

• Please leave each egg cache as you found it for the next
finder.

• You may hunt the caches in any order.

• Please do not team up with other teams.

• In the interest of fair play (to give all cachers an equal
chance), we ask that each team stay together for the duration of
the hunt (except as may be stated otherwise by instructions found
in an egg cache).

• Please do not split up to search for several caches
simultaneously as to make it fair and fun for all seekers.
Thanks.

Let’s Flock Together
