Geocache Description:

Placed in the Western Mournes on Easter Sunday.

The cache is placed in the longest escarpment (we think) in The Mournes, and overlooks the Pigeon Rock river.

The Mournes, sweeping down to the sea, as Percy French’s song says they do, the gentle Mountains of Mourne swing in a foetal curve from Rostrevor, on the shores of Carlingford Lough in the south, to the Victorian end-of-the-railway line resort of Newcastle.

Please ensure you are well equipped and prepared for any change in weather condtions. It is essential that you are properly equipped and aware of the dangers that may occur. The terrain is difficult at times. Nearing the cache location you have to choose your own tracks. Be careful of bog holes, depending on how you approach the cache.

You can use your own imagination to decide if it earns its name, regarding the shape.

The cache is a medium sized tablock box, with camo and geocaching sticker. There is a logbook, stashnote, pencil and sharpener and a few swaps.
