Salute to Vets Traditional Cache
Grizzly Bear 1: ScouterDuck attempted to retrieve this cache today but did not find it in place. (I did find an apparently drunk person trying to sleep it off in the shady grass nearby, so couldn't look thoroughly.) This should be an Altoids tin with magnets on the bottom of the fence adjascent to a post. I checked a few, but nothing. Along with several experienced cachers logging DNFs recently, the conclusion is inevitable.

Parking lot in the City of Allegan
Extreme stealth is required as this is a HIGH muggle area
The cache is located near a memorial saluting the veterans of Allegan County. The reason for the cache is to bring attention to this beautiful memorial that is not well known.
The memorial is located at way point N 42,31.539, W085,51.075, where there is a bench for you to pause as you reflect what a veteran has done for you.
While you are here remember that if it weren't for a vetern, probably you would not be free to do geocaching.
You probably would not be reading this in American English.
The veteran gave up much, such as a good paying job, a home and a family only to sleep in fox hole, MREs and be on duty 24/7. He/she may have been shot at many times.
On Memorial Day, plan to attend a ceremony someplace, before having the boys over for a beer and brats on the back yard grill. This is a day to remember those who gave the ultimate for our freedoms. Fly the flag that they defended.
On 11 November, there is also a ceremony for Veterans Day. Once again take time to attend the ceremonies dedicated to the veteran. Fly the Flag of the United States with pride on this day.
Last but not least, when you meet a veteran, thank him/her for what they have done for your freedoms
Freedom is not free, it must be paid for by someone and a Veteran made that payment.
