Geocache Description:

Located in the middle of the RIU World in the Playacar residential area, this cache is easily accessible from many surrounding resorts as well as from the beach. Bring your own writing instrument.

You are looking for a micro container which contains a log book.

I felt this cache was needed as there are so many vacationers from around the world coming to this area and there are very few caches within a few Kilometers. Of those vacationers, there ought to be some that are also geocachers!

If you are staying at one of the RIU or Sandos resorts in Playacar, this cache will be a short walk for you. It is right by the entrance of the RIU Tequila and right in front of the RIU Palace Mexico. It is also close to the RIU Palace Riviera Maya, the RIU Yucatan, the RIU Playacar, the Sandos Playacar and the RIU Lupita around the corner.

From Playa Del Carmen, you can expect a 30-40 minutes walk, but it is a very nice and easy walk.

From the beach, you can take the pathway between the RIU Palace Mexico and the RIU Yucatan and you'll be almost there. There is no need to go through a resort (unless you are staying there) and risking to be escorted off the property. The pathway runs from N 20 36.272 W 087 05.405 (beach side) to N 20 36.429 W 087 05.560 (street side).

Please make sure to use some stealth when at the cache location as there could be many eyes watching you. The hint is very explicit so that you do not look too suspicious looking in all the wrong places. Also please take special care in replacing the cache the way you found it and ensure no part of the container is visible to the passer bys.

Note: When I placed the cache, I didn't have a pencil handy. I would appreciate if the next cacher could put one in. A full size pencil won't fit, but if you can cut one in half or use a golf course size pencil, that would be great. A small pen would also work.
