Geocache Description:


This cache was placed while on a trip to JOHNSON VALLEY for EASTER. I had went out caching with Purple Butterfly and her family , her hubby was driving and we found a few on the back side of THE HAMMERS. While on our way back to camp ( MEANS DRY LAKE) we ended up on top of a very rocky hell... uh i mean HILL.... we got out to see if it was DOABLE... of course Mr. Purple Butterfly says.. uh well... its DOABLE, but might be a little steep. It was only about 500 ft to the bottom, but it was straight down... and there was no turning back... we advanced very slowly, and sideways, and over boulders, sliding a bit too much for me... but we made it down and decided to place a cache here to remind us of why we own a JEEP. You can get to the cache by parking at the bottom of the mountain and hiking up to it.. but you can log this cache TWICE if you take a picture of your GEOMOBILE going either UP or DOWN next to the cache... DONT FOLLOW ME EXTREME CAUTION !!! ONLY EXPERIANCED 4X4 DRIVERS SHOULD ATTEMPT THIS !!! BODY DAMAGE, AXLE DAMAGE AND ROLLOVER IS VERY POSSIBLE . From the paved road to the cache is about 6 mi... ( 4x4 not required) from the paved road down BOONE rd about 4 mi. anything past MEANS DRY LAKE requires 4x4 and high clearance vehicles.. or a RHINO. FTF prize is a good one... take your pick...
