Geocache Description:

Cache is located in St. Louis Fish Pond Park.

The park is a 55 acre maze of seven artificial ponds. The ponds are stocked with a variety of fish and are very popular with area anglers. Why does such an odd configuration of ponds exist? This was one of the locations that gravel was excavated and used in the construction of Interstate 5. The odd series of holes then filled with water. Marion County made this a park in early 1976. Take a good look at the map when you enter, it is a confusing maze of dead ends and it is easy to get turned around, but the peace, quiet and variety of wildlife make it a wonderful walk in the park. Park hours are:March/April/Sept. 7am-8pm, May-Aug. 6am-9pm.

Thanks for the information emi.pikados! We'll just add it to the cache page! "It's worth noting that the park is open in the winter. Open one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. The gate is locked, but you can still walk in. It's also stocked with trout throughout the winter, for anyone that's interested in that."

Congrats to raiders fan for FTF and the free dinner!
