This circular walk, although no longer maintained, is
regularly
walked by the locals and affords brilliant views in good
weather.
It follows forestry tracks at the beginning and then continues on
a
rough narrow trail along the lower slopes of Trien before
returning
to the forestry tracks.
The middle part of the walk is usually very muddy and good
walking boots/gaiters are recommended in all but a prolonged
dry
spell.
Views of Benaughlin can be had from the cache site.
Access to the start of the walk and parking can be gained from
the waypoints below. There is a sign saying 'Private. Authorised
vehicles only'. You can ignore this, as a walker you are
authorised
