Palmer's Pond Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Another two stage cache from us. Both stages of this cache are located within the Palmer's Pond state forest. Palmer's pond is a very nice remote area which offers day use for fishing and camping. Picnicing is possible but there are no grills and very few tables. This cache can be done a few different ways with the round trip for both stages being from .75 miles up to 1 mile maximum. You can drive very close to first stage and how you go from there is up to you. The first stage is a three inch long micro container that contains the coords to the final. Thie first stage may be very difficult. It is a very small well hidden container in the forest. As always your GPS my vary from mine but I did spend a good deal of time trying to get the coords very close. Some may find it very quickly and some may swear it is not there. Once found the coords in the container will lead you to a very easy to find 50 cal. ammo can. Please be careful with with the first stage container and return it exactly as found. The ammo can contains our usual assortment of swag. Bottles, things for children and a few other odds and ends. After reading logs we decided to let cachers know that there is a way to get to final without going through very bad terrain. It may be just a bit farther then the distance from first stage but it will sure be an easier walk.
