Geocache Description:

Altitude over 700 metres. Animal trail like, pretty steep and prickly, watch your steps and your head.

Trafford Hill is the hill at the Matawai entrance side of the Waioeka Gorge and the road climbs up to a pass and then goes down to the river.

Park at coordinates
Find YELLOW POST with stone at the foot. Post is 153 metres North of parking coordinates.

The cache is at: S 38° A.BCB E 177° D.E

A= (value of number on the label on stone) + ((add digits of same number) x2)

B= (number of letters of first word on that label)

C= (Middle number of Trafford’s Hill altitude given on Trafford’s Hill sign)/ 2

D= (number of signs [letters and figures] on label of stone) - (B)

E=(Easting degree value)+(D) - (number of words on second line of label on stone)
