A huge tree in Marie canyon day park area. Cache is 30 caliber ammo box , imported from the USA. I used the geocache system for rating the cache difficulty... maybe it's not a 3?? for the hide , but maybe it is??.. great spot to access the river, use the bathrooms and picnic tables...
Don't let the kid's or critter's get to close to the rivers edge... and don't let the "young ones" rip up the cache area..it's hidden , but not hard if you stand back and look.......look up .... it's a biggy. As you get close to GZ (GZ= Ground Zero, or very near the cache) .... Use the large fallen log as a guide to the cache...there is almost a geo-trail to the cache area now...Please don't be tearing up the moss and foilage to get to GZ. This is a park and we should respect it.. Cache is under the base of a very 'skinny' tree directly adjacent to the 'KING' tree... [Northeast side of the big guy] take a look up, it's impressive. Make sure cache is put back in all the way and covered up well with bark. This cache is easy to find and I put it here to get you to a cool area...not much of a challenge... just a cool place..
