***CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED
COORDINATES***
BUT IT ISN'T TOO FAR AWAY...
Cowboneneck
has lived in Canada for over 15 years and she thought it was about
time that she got her citizenship. In August of 2008, just before
her annual trip back to her beloved California, she submitted the
paperwork for her Canadian citizenship. She waited and waited for
months but nothing came from the government. THEN... in mid-January
2009, a letter arrived in the mail telling her that her citizenship
test was scheduled for February 12th (the day before her daughter's
11th birthday). The note also said that she was to study the
booklet "A Look at Canada." Well, the booklet did not come with the
letter so Cowboneneck started to worry a bit. She had less than one
month to study for her test and no booklet to study from in sight.
Three days later, the booklet arrived with a note dated November
14, 2008. "Hmmmmm..." thought Cowboneneck... "they have only given
me 19 days to study for this test... and it looks like I should
have gotten the booklet back in November...
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Well, Cowboneneck didn't want to FAIL her
citizenship test after living here for 15 years so she started to
study the booklet. There were many friends who guided her along the
way and told her of online websites that had tests that would help
her study. She started to obsess about the test and was constantly
testing her knowledge of Canada with the online citizenship tests.
The one she really enjoyed was the test from the Richmond, BC
public library which had an animated beaver dancing to "O Canada"
if you answered all the questions correctly. (Hence, Cowboneneck
learned more about Richmond, BC and it's MPPs than she ever dreamed
of!)
Many people told
Cowboneck that the test would be simple and that she would breeze
through it. Many of her geocaching buddies encouraged and/or
taunted her about her test and a lot of fun was had by all.
Luckily, Cowboneneck ACED her test and so she thought that it would
be fun to see how all those geocaching BUDDIES would do with the
same type of test... SO... the following questions are a sampling
of what Cowboneneck had to learn for her citizenship test. There
were 20 questions on her test so that is what you will have to
answer to figure out the coordinates of the cache. Inside the cache
you will find an assortment of CANADIAN-themed trinkets for trade.
There is a nice mini-flashlight and Hard Rock Cafe Ottawa pin for
the FTF as well as some travelers that need to get mooooooooving. I
hope you all enjoy the test... I know that I did!

To find the proper coordinates of the cache, you must answer
questions #1-20 and then work the following problems...
Where the coordinates = N 43 AB.CDE W 079 VW.XYZ
find A, B, C, D, E, V, W, X, Y, Z
A = (The number of
letters in #17) - (The number of letters in #19)
B = ( #16 ) - ( #3 )
C = ( #10 ) - ( #13 )
D = ( #11 ) + ( #2 )
E = ( #9 ) - (The number of letters in #4) - (The number of letters
in #6)
- ( #5 ) + ( #1 )
V = (The number of letters in #18) - (The number of letters in #20)
- ( #1 )
W = The last numeral in ( #8 )
X = ( #7 ) + ( #15 ) + ( #3 )
Y = The number of the month in ( #12 )
