Geocache Description:

A traditional cache at the base camp of The Kanaterhorn

Kanata is flat. The Bridlewood area of Kanata is REALLY flat. With this in mind I decided to venture out and find a "mountain" in the Bridlewood area and place a cache there to commemorate my newly named peak, the "Kanaterhorn".

Located just off Didsbury Road in Bridlewood (accessible from Fernbank Road or Cope Road), this cache is hidden near the outer perimeter of the "base camp" of the Kanaterhorn and contains an assortment of stuff taken from the drawer next to the fridge and kids toy closet.

After finding the cache I encourage you to challenge the Kanaterhorn to enjoy both the thrill of the climb as well as the commanding view from the "Summit". The easiest ascent is from the West, also known as the "Huckle route" but the more exciting climb, although steeper, is from the South where you'll pass a number of groundhog holes along the way.

Have fun and enjoy The Kanaterhorn
