Geocache Description:

Today when I walked up this road to the Alger Fossil Trek Cache I was intrigued by the trail blazes and the homemade sign along the way, marking this as the PNT Trail. I did a little research and discovered an amazing effort to connect and maintain this trail from the Pacific to the Continental Divide. The Users Web Page shows a map of the trail. The cache is meant to be simple, both in terrain and in difficulty. I struggled with the signal a little, but the hint should make it obvious. The unactivated coin in the cache is meant as an FTF prize. The access point for the cache is about .13 miles south at the gate on Alger Cain Lake Road. The sign, If ti read the whole thing, says hikers and bikers are welcome.
