Geocache Description:

An easy find at the local picnic area.

Due to my advancing age, I (and my doctor) am concerned about the possibility of my experiencing a medical situation while on the road to Maintain one or more of my 120 GC Geocaches and 50 GCA Geocaches.

If you live near this Geocache, or regularly travel near it, you might be interested in Adopting this Geocache (or more of mine). Please let me (WanderingAus) know by Message at
Geocaching Message Center
if you are interested, including the cache code or codes
(e.g GC1Q43C for this cache).

Due to the temporary nature of pens and pencils in my geocaches
BRING YOUR OWN WRITING IMPLEMENT!!!

The lookout in Pingelly has seen better days, when I visited the park bench from near the top had been uprooted and sent downhill. Despite that it offers commanding views of the surrounding area, but not very photogenic due to plenty of trees blocking parts of the view.

After two mugglings the lookout was abandoned and the cache relocated to a historic picnic/rest area out of town. Happily it has survived without muggling for almost 7 years.

Update 28 Apr 09
The cache is a drab camouflaged 1 Kg Milo tin. Initial contents are First, Second, Third and Fourth To Find cards, finders cards, fly/mosquito head net, Australia keyring, car, cow, dinosaur, log book, pen, pencil & sharpener.

Update 24 Jan 17
The cache is a drab camo'd 500 Ml round screw-top container, with log book, finders cards, two pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a few swaps, placed inside a drab camouflaged 1 Kg Milo tin.

When trading items please consider trading up or trading even and leaving items that you would want to find, and please don't take the pen, pencils or sharpener. If you can't trade up or trade even I don't mind seeing TNLNSL in the log. Also please don't put the pen or pencils in the log book bag, it tends to destroy the watertight integrity.

Trackables (geocoins and travel bugs) are not tradeable items. Please feel free to take them without making a trade, but please leave a note in the logbook and your online log, and do log them online.

This cache is part of a series leading towards my GC1QYV5 WanAus 89 - Roaming Western Australia cache. There is an RWA number in the back of the log book. You will need to record this number in the format 88? (from WanAus 88 and ? for the RWA number) for future reference.

This is just a suggestion, but it may help you to keep track of the RWA numbers.
Every cache page has "*Personal Cache Note" *Click to enter a note, just above Geocache Description:
You could either add the code to each individual cache, or add all numbers to GC1QYV5 WanAus 89 - Roaming Western Australia.

If you are heading out to hunt down some of my more remote GC1QYV5 WanAus 89 - Roaming Western Australia or GC29MXD WanAus 179 - Discover Western Australia caches, where the cache density is very low, why not consider taking a few prepared containers with you, stocked with log book and swaps etc, and when you spot one of those places that make you think "that would be a good place for a cache", place one of your own. Just check that there isn't a cache within 160 metres, and please don't place a micro in the bush where you could easily conceal an ammo box or Milo tin.
