[BT] Casale sul Sile Traditional Cache

Un primo nucleo di Casale sul Sile sorse nel medioevo attorno al castello, a pianta quadrata e provvisto di una torre, che i da Camino, signori di Treviso, utilizzarono durante la lotta contro i Veneziani. Il fortilizio si trovava in posizione strategica: sulla riva destra del Sile, poteva controllarne i traffici. In seguito i Carraresi lo ampliarono aggiungendovi una seconda torre, quella tuttora esistente.
Il castello (a differenza di numerosi altri che furono rasi al suolo dai Veneziani) fu restaurato nel 1418 da Guido Canal, podestà di Treviso, e fu adibito ad abitazione rurale. Nell'Ottocento quel poco che ne rimaneva fu distrutto. Ora la Torre dei Carraresi è stata restaurata (proprietà Tonolo) ed è inserita in un parco privato perfettamente mantenuto.

Il cache è di dimensioni SMALL e contiene un logbook.

A first group of Casale sul Sile arose in the Middle Ages around the castle, square-shaped and provided with a tower that from Camino, lords of Treviso, used it during the fight against the Venetians. The fort was located in a strategic position on the right bank of the Sile, could monitor the traffic. Following the Carraresi enlarged the building by adding a second tower that still exists.
The castle (unlike many others that were flattened by the Venetians) was restored in 1418 by Guido Canal, mayor of Treviso, and was used as a rural dwelling. In the nineteenth century the little that was left was destroyed. Now the Tower of Carrara has been restored (property Tonolo) and is set in a private park perfectly maintained.

The cache-container is SMALL and it contains a logbook.
