in our disclaimer.
This is our first cache. It is located up a flight of locks at Napton on the Oxford canal and although the walking is easy, the towpath can get muddy. Remember to take care of mini geo-cachers by the water and take extra care by the locks
The cache was placed alongside the canal as we live on our narrowboat ‘Tia’ from which we run a business selling environmentally responsible products to fellow boaters. Our mooring is near by. We have placed the cache 450 feet away from where it was originally going to be placed to make it easier to avoid ‘gongoozling’ muggles. The cache is in a white cylindrical container (5” x 3") with a grey lid and originally contained:
· A ‘First to find’ certificate
· Fridge magnet
· Keyring
· Compass
· Ecover washing up liquid (sample size)
· Ecover money off vouchers
· Logbook
There are two places to park the first is a mile away from the cache and is located on Folly Lane in Napton (Waypoint N52° 14.556 W001° 19.827) the second is 1/2mile from the cache and is located on Holt Road just outside Napton (Waypoint N52° 14.122 W001° 19.914). The cache can also be found as a ‘Dash and Cache’ from a boat whilst working the locks. There is no access for parking at Holt Farm.
From Easter to September on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, 3.00pm to 6.00pm Cream Teas are available from Holt Farm near the cache site. Access is through the car park, up the track and in the orchard
Congratulations to 'bertandian' for claiming the FTF closely followed by 'Graham1865'
