D: Die Marienkirche in Niederzirking ist - in ihren Fundamenten
- eine der ältesten Kirchen der Umgebung. Ihre Geschichte ist seit
1122 gesichert. In der (jetzt spätgotisch gestalteten) Kirche
findet man den Grundriss und Mauern der ursprünglichen romanischen
sowie der frühgotischen Kirche, die an dieser Stelle standen.
Obwohl man zum Heben des Caches die Kirche nicht betreten muss,
empfehlen wir das sehr, da die Kirche 1985 wunderschön renoviert
wurde. Den Schlüssel zur Kirche erhält man gegenüber beim Haus
Niederzirking 43. Die Kirche wird heute vorrangig als
Hochzeitskirche benutzt.
E: The St. Mary's church of Niederzirking is - in its
foundations - one of the oldest churches in the area. It is
documented for the first time in the year 1122, but probably older.
In the church (late gothic style) you can see the layout and walls
of the original romanic church and the later built early gothic
church at the same location. Although you don't have to enter the
church in order to find the cache, we strongly recommend it,
because the church has been beautifully renovated in 1985. You can
get the key for the church at the adjacent house Niederzierking #
43. In this time, the church is mainly used for wedding
ceremonies.

Stage 2: Nun geht zu / Now walk to:

E2 = E1 - ((19*A+10)/1000)'
Am Eingangstor dieses für die Gegend typischen Bauernhofs findet
ihr eine Jahreszahl BCDE. / At the entrance gate of the farm house
(typical style for this area) you will find a year number BCDE.
Stage 3: Nun geht zur Kirche. Ihr findet das Westportal
bei / Now go to the church. You will find the west portal at:
N3 = N2 - ((B+C+3*D+E))/1000)'
E3 = E2 - (((B+E)*3*D)+(2*C*D))/1000)'
Zählt die eisernen Nägel am mittleren Holzsteher = F. (Einer fehlt;
den zählt nicht.) / Count the iron nails on the middle wooden
pillar = F. (One is missing; so don't count it.)
Auf der linken Seite sehr ihr in Brusthöhe zwei Buchstaben in
den Stein eingraviert (Steinmetzzeichen?). Legt beide gemäß
Alphabet um und addiert die Zahlen. Ihr erhaltet GH. / On the left
side (breast height) you will see two letters engraved into the
stone (stone masonry signs?). Take their positions in the alphabet
and add the two numbers. You will get GH.
Final: Den Cache findet ihr bei / You will find the cache
at:
NF = N3 + ((5*(A+B+C+D+E)+4*F+8*(G+H))/1000)'
EF = E3 + ((8*(B+C+D+E+F+G+H)-3*A)/1000)'
Der Empfang war nicht sehr gut (+/- 5m), aber die Stelle sollte
offensichtlich sein. Bitte versteckt den Cache wieder sehr
sorgfältig, es spielen Kinder in der Nähe. / The GPS reception was
not too good (+/- 5m), but the location should be obvious. Please
hide the cache very well again, because kids are playing in this
area.
