This cache is part of a series of caches inspired by great paintings, sculpture, and movements in art history. . . and because I enjoy a bit of a laugh.
Here's the art history part: The Renaissance (from old French, meaning "rebirth") was a broad cultural movement bridging the Middle Ages to the beginning of the modern era and marked by a revival of classical (Greek & Roman) influence in art and architecture as well as literature and science. The movement first flourished in Italy, especially in the Tuscan city of Florence along the Arno River. Key artistic advancements included the development of linear perspective in painting and drawing. Geometry and ideal proportions also played a role in artistic creation. The High Renaissance, widely viewed as the greatest explosion of creative genius in history, was the culmination of Italian Renaissance art, epitomized by the work of two original "Renaissance Men"—Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) and Michelangelo (1475-1564). From their hands came iconic works of painting and sculpture along with architecture, scientific observations and inventions—far more than I can sum up here but a lot of good material to play around with!

Update 4/25/2018>: The first waypoint had to be moved from its original location due to rot. To find the first stage, you must now apply the following offset:
Subtract 0.009 from the NORTH
Subtract 0.004 from the WEST
(The checker has been updated for these new coordinates.)
The solution to the puzzle will lead you to a waypoint in the woods. You'll be searching for a micro that will give you coordinates to the final. Be gentle in your search; no need to overturn the scene or rip things apart. Please take extra care to replace the micro and cache exactly as you found them for the enjoyment of the next cacher.
You may approach the cache from several directions over land, but the shortest route is not always best. WP1 is just a few feet from a marked trail; the final is along a herd path. I recommend using the parking area and trailhead to the south to enjoy a great walk. Or better yet, bring your gondola and approach on the water.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
Thanks to BR95 for help verifying the coordinates.
E ringraziamenti ai miei amici, Leonardo e Michelangelo!
