Geocache Description:


Vegpunks' 1st Gig -

Now linked into a series of 18 caches around the South East of Ashby De La Zouch. (see Hitch Hiking GC1V890 for full details on the series)

Our first cache is situated just off a public footpath around halfway between Ashby De La Zouch and Packington in a pleasant area only spoilt by the ever present noise from the nearby A42.
It is an easy walk and can be accessed from either of these places as a short walk to or as a longer circular walk (check an OS map for the numerous footpath options to and from the cache area) taking in Ashby De La Zouch and Packington.

There is a stream close by so watch the children. After heavy rain but mainly in Winter the stream can be quite deep and the area boggy so boots may well be a good idea. The fields you pass through have over the past year been homes to Horses, Cows and Sheep ( but not all at the same time!) so watch the dogs. Plenty of parking is available in both villages but be aware of local home owners parking needs.

Please rehide as found as this is a popular area for dog walkers and also people chilling around the stream on sunny days. We hope you enjoy your walk and search for the cache.
